Hi ya’ll! Hope spring has arrived in your parts, it sure has here! Everything is turning green and flowering, and the bees and spiders are pretty active too. Even Archie is out catching birds…somehow he’s not into mice, just birds. Funny, I never see the bird, just the feathers in the yard, hmm.
Spring always has me full energy for the plans and projects I want to get finished and I’ve been busy with several different projects that I haven’t blogged about yet. I’m working on a quilt for my new Grandbaby. Making a practice quilt first (don’t want to mess up that pricey fabric I bought for the baby). I’ll use the practice quilt here when the baby comes to visit. Ooh, I can’t wait…can you tell?
Another thing I’m working on is my square foot garden. It’s still in the works and when I get it all set up, I will post about it. The boxes are already made, just have to stain them on the outside a little and set them up, get compost for the mixture and plant things…see, not much to do at all, lol!
We had some beautiful days here the last few days and today it’s raining, need that of course also. Just in time too, because yesterday evening we finally installed a rainwater container behind the garden shed. ET has this elaborate plan to collect rainwater inside the shed, but work and back problems are getting in the way of finishing it, so I decided I won’t wait any longer … I need rainwater for my garden! It may not be pretty, but it does the job just fine.
It seems like my projects list is getting longer and longer. Do you ever feel like that? I’ve decided to set up a projects page and list each project I have in the works or that is still in my head. Maybe getting it out in black and white is better. What do you think? I could do that privately, but maybe I’ll be more accountable if I post it on a separate page on the blog for everyone to see.
One of the first things on my project list for this week though is escaping a little. ET and I need to get away and I’ve got Bodensee in mind. Just need a quiet escape, take in the spring breezes and think of not much but what shall we have for eats. What do you say, sound like a good plan?
Wishing ya’ll a wonderful week!
