This post has absolutely nothing to do with decorating, frugality, repurposing and all those other things I’m always propagating on. But it does have something to do with design and color and escaping into other worlds. The world of cars, classic cars that is. As in they cost way too much and I will probably never own one, but isn’t it fun to go looking and get a little live eye candy?
I do love cars…When I was about 7, the thing I wanted to do when I grew up was either become a truck driver or a race car driver. My dad used to take me to the local stock car races on the weekend and when I asked him if I could ever do that, he would say “sure you can, you can do anything you set your mind to”. Well, I never became either but I do like to take a fast turn on our country roads every once in a while and road trips are my favorite way to travel!
Being a girly girl, I went to the show for the design and color of it all and because ET is a car guy, his life has consisted of cars. So it was natural for us to go see the show. Here are a few of my favorites, it’s either the form or the color that catches my eye, and often both:
It was really a challange taking somewhat decent snapshots with my phone while people are pushing in front and behind trying to get better views of the cars. But I do hope you get some enjoyment from them. I think some of them actually turned out quite nice with what I had to work with.
This was my all-time favorite, a classic BMW:
(I’m picturing ET and I cruising along the waterfront roads of Lake Constance on a sunny Sunday afternoon…can you tell I’m in dire need for Spring to arrive?)
