We like to go on little road trips, duh. Since we don’t have much time to go on overnights lately, we usually try to drive someplace interesting at least on Sundays. In the last few weeks we found 2 interesting places for a nice little day trip.

Last Sunday ET wanted to get away and by getting away he means to leave Germany behind… if only for a few hours.
So we headed for the west border just outside of Karlsruhe and over the Rhine river we found the little village of Lauterbourg, France. This is a small sleepy little town in Alsace with a beautiful bike and walking trail along the Rhine. The images on here don’t do this place justice. The french villages have such a different atmosphere than the ones here in Germany. Sometimes it is just refreshing to see a different style of architecture and a different perspective.
We had a small meal and sniffed some river air and headed for home all refreshed.
