Hey friends! We got our first snow of the season yesterday and it’s been snowing a lot since then. I’m not really a big snow fan, and I could go on and complain about it. But I try to see the positive in things, so you could say our days have actually brightened up since it snowed. Before the snow, everything was brown and gloomy and now the sky and trees are shining in the same white color, and I happen to like white. See, already a positive aspect.
I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas. We did, and I’m so thankful for the days of fun and festivity spent with family and friends. My goodness, we ate so much good food, from Krautwickler to Sauerbraten and everything in between. It’s now time to go a little slower with the eating and start drinking more green tea! ET still has a few days off and we’ve been spending the days after Christmas watching old movies, taking morning walks and planning our year ahead.
There are only a few more days until 2015 and I’m wondering, are you excited about the new year? I am. I have so many plans and things in my head I want to do, but I’m not even going to mention them as resolutions because I don’t want to jinx any of it. Does that sound like you too? Are you afraid of jinxing something when talking about it too soon? Please tell me I’m not alone, lol!
Well, let’s not spill the beans here. Let’s just pray for each other, that what we have planned may come to fruition if it is good for us and what we need. I will be praying for us and the new year, not only for our plans, but for our entire society. That we may see more peace and love in this world and that we may have the courage to live in a way that resonates love and peace towards others.
Thanks to all who join me here at Minding my Cottage and I hope for and wish you all a very Happy New Year 2015!
