Hi folks, hope all is well in your corner of the world! Well, I’m doing pretty good, especially since I kicked in gear yesterday and got this chair makeover finished. The whole house was falling apart, but at least I got my project finished! So, remember that old chair I bought a few weeks ago? That beige/brown thing?
It has turned into a light bright sitting chair and I quite like it. Not perfect, and some details I messed up on urk me a little, but nothing to get me into any deep distress!
I didn’t take time to really take a lot of photos of the process, just a few. Here is a quick visual run-down of the project:
Most of the materials that I used I already on hand (frugality is my new middle name after all), except for the gimp upholstery trim, which I ordered from Ebay and came from Poland. If I ever visit Poland I am definitely going to stock up on sewing supplies!
So, what do ya’ll think? I love how light and bright it turned out. Here’s someone else who thought the chair turned out just to his liking…
Yep, the Boss (one eye still missing). He watches my every step, but always has a smile on his face no matter how silly I act around here!
Some days are just meant to be difficult, like today, it took me awhile to write this post. Trying to figure out how to put html tables in my file was no easy task, then, right in the middle of that, I had to run to Stuttgart and drive my son to work because the public transportation people are striking. Why am I telling you this? Because after all that I came back to finish the post and I got it done in no time! Moral of the story…don’t give up!
Have a great week friends!
