Joining Peggy @ The Simple Woman’s Daybook
FOR TODAY – February 3, 2015
Outside my window…Still and quiet darkness, except for a few owls.
I am thinking…about the things I’d like to get done today.
I am thankful…for the precious moments with my kids.
In the kitchen…I’m going to make a quick pizza today.
I am wearing…my trusty jeans, a grey t-shirt and my favorite feel-good sweater.
I am creating…nothing crafty at the moment.
I am going…to continue with the basement clean-up and painting today.
I am wondering…about the mysteries of this earth.
I am reading…Apart from the chapters in my Bible study, nothing in particular this week. I just got through reading “Magic Cleaning” by Marie Kondo and plan on writing a little review about it soon. I’ve already tried one of the methods and was really surprised that it works for me.
I am hoping…that I have enough energy to finish all that I have planned for this week.
I am looking forward to…springtime and being able to take walks without having to wear coat, gloves and a hat.
I am learning…that the days and years are too short to waste them worrying about what others are thinking of me and that I’d rather spend the rest of my days and years reading, creating, and learning more.
Around the house…I’ll be continuing my purging now that the recycle bins have been emptied. Amazing how many glass jars I’ve kept even though I never actually make that much jam and jelly!
I am pondering…why people, including myself, are always pulled towards gossiping and how evil it actually is, it poisons relationships and most of all, the gossipers soul.
A favorite quote for today…”God often reinforces our faith after we trust Him, not before.” — Ravi Zacharias, The Grand Weaver
One of my favorite things… Having my son Josh and his family over for brunch and watching little Sweetpea learn to crawl.
A few plans for the rest of the week: I’ll be painting part of our basement today and later on this week I may take a walk through Ikea for some closet inspiration.
A peek into my day…
Have a wonderful week and God bless you!
