Joining Peggy @ The Simple Woman’s Daybook
FOR TODAY – March 2, 2015
Outside my window…I see the clouds are shifting back and forth. The sun is pushing through and the wind is milder than the weeks before. I feel that Spring is making a comeback soon!
I am thinking…of my cousin’s birthday today. He’s due a call from me, so that is what I’ll do when I get off the computer.
I am thankful…for being alive and well, and having choices!
In the kitchen…Hmm, haven’t decided what I’m going to cook today. There are still some leftovers from yesterday’s fish and pasta, maybe just add more noodles and go with that.
I am wearing…jeans, mottled gray sweater, gray socks with pink polka-dots…gotta have color somewhere!
I am creating…a 3d plan of our bathroom renovation in Google SketchUp. Selecting tiles and where all the fixtures will be placed in our 43sf tiny bathroom is a challenge.
I am going…(I should be going) for a walk today, since the sun is coming out and there’s a mild wind. It’s begging me to go outside.
I am wondering…how my granddaughter will adjust to me caring for her once a week when my daughter-in-law goes back to work. We are slowly adjusting to each other by me babysitting once a week for a short time. She’s such a sweetie, I hope the Lord gives us both grace, because I haven’t cared for a small child in so long!
I am reading…Starting the book of Matthew in the Bible study this week. Also on my reading list: Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No, to Take Control of Your Life by Henry Cloud and John Townsend (interesting insights on the how and why of boundaries and how we can set healthy ones).
I am hoping…for a good garden year and I am looking forward to… all kinds of yummy summer salads with our own veggies.
I am learning…to set boundaries and guard my heart.
Around the house…oh, there is so much to be done, it needs a good spring cleaning!
I am pondering…our bathroom tile decisions. There are so many styles to choose from and it really is hard choosing just one style. I’m drawn to either light gray and white, or warmer beige tones. Too many choices can sometimes be overwhelming (admittedly a fun kind of overwhelmed).
A favorite quote for today…
One of my favorite things… watching young kitties and babies play and discover their world.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Some spring cleaning is in order and a trip to the library.
A peek into my week…We took a trip to the wonderful Lake Constance last weekend, oh how I love being near the water!
Have a wonderful week and God bless you!
