Hi there! Yes, I’m still here ya’ll! It’s been quite a summer… First off, I became a proud grandma in June! She’s a beautiful little girl and I’m going to call her Sweetpea on the blog. It’s so exciting watching little Sweetpea start learning about the world!
Some sad news also, our cat Archie had to be put to sleep this summer. He was so sick and it made no sense to let him suffer more than he already had. I miss him so much, he belonged in this cottage, we all believe it was really his cottage and it is so sad being here without him. Na, we aren’t getting another pet. I just don’t want to go through losing another pet again. If one came along and needed a home desperately, I would want to help, but I’m not going out and getting another one intentionally. Archie is so missed by our whole family.
You may have noticed that I’m making changes to the blog again. I need to get simpler on here, just as I am simplifying in real life. I’m cleaning out things everywhere and I really needed to start making changes on the blog also. The bad part is, I lost most of my widgets in the sidebar, a dumb mistake I made because I wasn’t careful enough. So, I need to get those widgets (like social icons, etc.) written up and set up again. It all takes time.
Also, I will stop translating my posts into German, unless I’m feeling really translational, ha ha! It has just become a chore and I think that is what has been keeping me from posting much, just the thought of having to copy and translate everything has made me not want to write anything. I don’t think it will matter much, most of my blog readers are English speaking anyway. If there is anyone out there that needs to read it in German and you start a petition… I may just keep on doing it. But I doubt that will happen 😉
ET and I went on sort of an adventure this summer, we took a road-trip through France and I will eventually put some posts up about it on the “escapes” page. We had a wonderful time. I consider it a big blessing that we can go on these trips, that wasn’t always the case. In fact, for many years it was a far away dream to be able to travel at all. I put up a few pics on my Facebook page in case you’d like to take a peak.
So, that is what’s been happening…just ordinary life. But I’m still here, just living it and hopefully finding my blogging muse again.
Take care all!
