Woohoo, it is done! Another blog makeover completed
Minding my Cottage has a new blog design! I spent lots of hours learning about the design process and implementing it onto my WordPress theme. I think I’ve captured more of the “me” in it now.
One thing I have a hard time doing is deciding on a layout and sticking with it. I love all kinds of different designs, colors and elements. But sometimes you just have to let it rest and call it a day. I also wanted to keep the colors as simple as possible. I think I will dabble more in this kind of stuff, but not on my own blog anymore, ha ha! It was lots of work, exciting and fun…but I’m glad it’s finished for now.
I hope you enjoy the new design and I’d love to hear what you have to say about it…go ahead…I can handle constructive criticism, wink! But I think the design will stay this way awhile.
All this bloggy stuff has really got me neglecting everything else. I really need to start getting back to homey stuff like getting the house cleaned and decorated for Christmas. I already have an Advent wreath on the table but I haven’t given it the cottage touch yet. It was an Aldi special and I want to tweak it a bit before I take pictures.
Along those lines, we had a wonderful first Advent with our older son, his wife and baby who came to visit and our younger son, who had a rare Sunday off from work. We all ate dinner together and walked into town to the bakery for some cake and coffee. Blessed days!
So I’m signing off here at the cottage for now, will be getting some r+r and nurse a little cold, read a bit in a few books I got at the library and then start planning out some Christmas cookies to make. Lots to do, catch ya later!
